Born and raised in Louisiana, Bill is a 1991 graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, with a BS in accounting. He utilized his degree as an accountant with the firm of KPMG Peat Marwick for several years prior to moving to Pell City in 1994. He subsequently took a job with the State of Alabama Department of Pardons and Paroles, where he served as a law enforcement officer. Desiring to continue his education, he enrolled in the Birmingham School of Law in 2003, where he pursued his law degree at night while he continued working as a law enforcement officer for the State. Upon graduating in 2007, Bill left law enforcement to pursue his legal career. His practice encompasses many facets of law, including both criminal and civil litigation. Bill also volunteers as Pro Bono counsel for the local non-profit organization Majestic Outdoors, is a member of the Pell City Civitans Club and serves on the Board of Directors of the Pell City Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors of the Pruitt & Richardson Charitable Foundation.
Bill is also an avid outdoorsman and active member of Cropwell Baptist Church with his wife, Stephanie, and their two boys.
